Psychosocial recovery coaching is a specialized service within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) designed to support individuals with psychosocial disabilities, which are disabilities arising from mental health conditions. This service aims to assist participants in managing the complexities associated with their mental health challenges and to help them achieve their personal recovery goals.
• This funding assists participants with travel to work, school, or community activities. • It can include costs for public transport, taxis, rideshares, or even mileage for a support worker driving the participant.
• This support helps participants engage in social, recreational, and community activities. • It includes assistance with joining clubs, attending events, and participating in community programs that enhance social inclusion and community engagement.
Short Term Accommodation, including respite, is support for when you need to live out of home for a short period. Short Term Accommodation funding can be used for respite to support you and your carers. This gives your carers a short break from their caring role. Sometimes a short stay away from home: • gives you the chance to try new things • can be a place to make new friends or develop new skills • may help to maintain your current living situation by giving your informal supports a break. Short Term Accommodation may suit your needs if your usual support network isn’t available for a short period.
Assistance with Travel to enable participation in the community, social, economic and daily life activities Transport to and from appointments, as well as regular medical treatments required. Taxi vouchers and subsidies for people with disabilities and their carers

CORE supports under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) refer to a category of funding that covers essential, everyday activities and supports to help participants with their immediate and ongoing needs. These supports are designed to assist participants in achieving their goals, increasing their independence, and improving their quality of life. CORE supports are flexible and can be used across various aspects of daily living.
NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits (previously the NDIS Price Guide) assist participants and disability support providers in understanding how price controls for supports and services work in the NDIS. Price regulation is in place to ensure that participants receive value for money in the supports that they receive.
Plan management in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) involves a provider supporting you to manage funding within your NDIS plan. These providers are known as plan managers.
There are three different types of NDIS Funding Managements.
Self-Management: The participant will claim funding from NIDS plan to pay providers him/herself or their representatives/nominees. The providers will invoice the participant or their representatives directly for the services agreed upon.
Plan-Managed: The plan management provider will make claims and pay providers on participant behalf for the agreed services.
NDIA-Managed: Providers will claim directly from the participant NDIS plan based on active services bookings or where endorsed by the participant or their representative. Where the supports are NDIA-managed the participant can only use NDIS registered providers.
